Comparing Rental Deals - Small Cars
If you are looking to hire a small or compact rental car about the size of a Hyundai i20; a Nissan Micra; a Mitsubishi Mirage; a Kia Rio or a Suzuki Swift, just go to our Gold Coast Car Rental Companies links page and select the company that you wish to check out and our hyperlink will take you directly to that company.
We surveyed the companies listed in our links page to obtain sample quotes. Whilst many companies have 2 door and 4 door manual vehicles, in the interests of response uniformity, we opted to get quotes on 4 door automatic sedans or hatches. We have only taken the cheapest vehicle option offered by each rental company within the small or compact rental car segment of their fleet.
So what about the prices we found?
The cheapest option that we have for the package including 1 extra driver, child seat, GPS navigation and reduced insurance excess, plus local unlimited Klms is $240.50, with another 7 different vehicle/price points up to our most expensive small rental car (current model Hyundai Accent) at $299.30 - we are the only company with a package including the stated options for less than $300 and every one of our small rental cars is under this barrier, including current models.

There were 7 companies between $301 and $400; another 9 between $401 and $500 and 16 over $501.
The absence of full terms and conditions of rental and insurance does not, in itself, mean that they are unfair, but it does mean that you are denied the opportunity of finding out what you are getting yourself into before you make a commitment. The safe approach is to assume that there must be a good reason for the non-disclosure.
Gold Coast Family Car Rentals is a clear winner on both price and conditions for the full package as specified and for the "car + reduced insurance" package, and we clearly represent the best value in the "car only" quotes.
