An 8-day Translink - Go Explore Pass costs $240 for 2 adults and 2 children from 5-14Years. It will get you from the Airport to your accommodation (or nearby), but only if you are staying north of Mermaid Beach. It will get you to your theme park choices and back every day and on the last day it will get you to the airport, but again, you must be staying at particular accommodation houses.

But it won't get you to Mt Tamborine or Tropical Fruitworld or other interesting places which are not on their route.

Yes, you can get from Coolangatta to Surfers Paradise (or vice versa) by bus, but you must either get a bus to the airport and change to the Route 777 Double Decker bus, (but you can’t get off until you get to Broadbeach), or you can get a bus from Coolangatta to Broadbeach and then get a tram to Surfer’s Paradise. User friendly? Not really!
